New Venue and School Times for the SEECC

26/08/2011

I hope this finds you in good health and emaan, Inshallah.

The Billericay School will no longer be available for use by the school on Sunday because of proposed building works. Over the holidays, the SEECC management have been looking at alternatives. We have looked at local primary and secondary schools but none of the schools are willing to open on a weekend, as their caretakers have the days off.

Next door to Oak Din surgery - 58 Laindon Road, Billericay CM12 9LD, we have found a hall which is used by the local scouts.

It is centrally located in Billericay and has a fair sized hall with toilets and parking spaces. We intend to hold classes here for the time being and will continue to look for places in the mean time.

The scout hut is available to us Friday 6-8 pm and we will be started classes from Fri 9th September.

Parents are asked to drop the children off in the scout hut at 5.45pm and then return to collect them at 8pm. Please bring your child inside the Hall in order for them to be registered and payments taken before the lessons insha Allah.

Prices will be £6 each child, discounts are available on request for more than one child.
Please pay on the day.

Arabic language lessons will have to be suspended for the present because of time and space constraints and as our situation improves we intend to offer this once again. However there will be no compromise on Quran and Islamic studies which will continue as before.

Quran lessons 6-7pm. The children will be in small groups with a teacher. The objective will be to learn basic Quran reading skills from a standard Qaida reader, and children will progress to memorising Juzz Ammah depending on their ability. Further surahs will be learnt when necessary.

Islamic studies 7-8pm. The children will be continuing with the Iqra Islamic studies syllabus and will be working in small groups with a teacher.

Because the time we have within the hall is short and there is no place to play, children will be given a drink between lessons if they wish, we ask that they do not bring snacks and that they have something to eat before attending the lessons insha Allah.
Prayers - depending on the prayer times through the years, we may do magrib prayers in jummat.

Jazak Allah khairan for your support in the past and we hope your support in the future too, please make dua for the successful continuation of SEECC in this blessed month of Ramadan.
